Faculty of Agriculture is the champion after defeating Faculty of FKIP in the Rector Cup 2025 Football Final

The final match of the University of Jember inter-faculty soccer tournament was exciting and full of high tension on Sunday afternoon (27/4) at the UNEJ Stadium. The match between the Faculty of Agriculture and FKIP was full of tension and drama. Both teams played to a goalless draw for 90 minutes of normal time and 30 minutes of extra time, before finally the Faperta Team secured the title through a penalty shootout with a score of 4-3. Since the early minutes, both teams appeared cautious but aggressive. Opportunity after opportunity was created, but solid defense and brilliant performances from both goalkeepers kept the score 0-0 until the long whistle sounded. Entering the extra round, the intensity of the game did not decrease. However, none of the chances were able to be converted into goals. Finally, the match had to be decided on penalties. In the penalty shootout, Faperta goalkeeper Risnanda Deva became a hero by warding off 1 opponent's kick, and 1 flew over the bar. Dimas was the winner with his calm execution on the sixth kick.
The Faculty of Agriculture coach, Coach Harits T. Ramadhan, appreciated the fighting spirit of his team. "This is an important win. We have prepared for the final and hope to bring home the trophy this year," he said. With this victory, the Faperta Team won the 2025 Rector Cup trophy, while the FKIP Team had to settle for the runner-up position. In the closing ceremony, the Rector of Jember University, represented by Bureau II, M. Jazuli, SH, MH, was also present and congratulated the champion team and all tournament participants. "Congratulations to the Faperta Team for this victory. This year's Rector Cup was successfully held and showed a high spirit of sportsmanship from all participants. Hopefully this event can continue to inspire students to excel, both in sports and academics," said Jazuli.
The 2025 Rector Cup tournament was attended by 10 teams from faculties at the University of Jember.
